Homework - Saturday February 24

It was nice to see everybody today! You did a great job on the BrainQuest quizzes!! For our homework this week, you'll need to finish the paper I handed out today. Nina asked if we could do some Math homework, and I think that's a good idea, so let's do pages 46 and 47.

Now, for another homework project, please visit this website:

http://highlightskids.com/Science/TryThis/h3TT0500_saltwater.asp?subTitleID=35

I'd like you to try the saltwater experiment on that page. First, read the experiment. Then, BEFORE YOU START, answer this question in your writing book:

1. What do you think will be different between the salt water and the fresh water?

NOW, try the experiment. (Start it right after school one day and check it a few times before you go to bed.) When the experiment is finished, answer this question in your notebook.

2. What was actually different between the salt water and the fresh water?

I'm looking foward to hearing about your experiments next week!

Homework, Saturday February 17

Hi everybody! Sorry I missed the class yesterday, but I heard you had lots of fun with your spelling bee. Doug also said you read a story called The Emperor's New Clothes. He said the homework this week is to draw a picture of the Emperor in his underwear OR to draw a picture of the clothes the Emperor IMAGINED he was wearing. You should also write a few sentences about what you liked in the story OR what you didn't like.

By the way, if you liked the Pigmoose on the Loose story, you can read more at this website:

See you next week!

Measurers Extraordinaire!

Homework: Saturday, February 10

Hi, my super measurers! Good job filling out your measuring study sheet. I have something new for you to try for your homework. I'd like you to use the computer to visit this website:

http://www.meddybemps.com/pigmoose/index.html

Read the story called "Pigmoose on the Loose." Then, you should write one or two sentences about the things you liked in the story. Also, draw me your very best Pigmoose picture!

I won't be able to come next week, but Doug will be there to look at your writing and see your great pictures.

In the workbook, please start Chapter 7 in the science section and do pages 126 and 127. I'll see you in two weeks!

TONS OF BOOKS!!

FUN library trip! Here's your homework...

It was great that everyone could come to the library today! We'll have to go back again sometime to borrow some more of those great books.

For your homework, I'd like you to choose one of the books you borrowed, and write THREE sentences about it. You can write about the main character, what happened in the story, how you felt about the story, or anything else you would really like to write about. Please make sure to write the TITLE of your story at the top of your paper. In your workbook, let's finish up Unit 6 in the Science section -- please do pages 124 and 125. See you next Saturday!

Saturday, January 27th after-study SKATING!

Here are some of the kids enjoying a slide around on the ice at Papio after the Kidz group.
