HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!!

Ok -- Doug and I finally had a chance to meet and decide things for the party, so here's the scoop:

Please come to the usual place in Ropponmatsu a little before 6:30 -- we'd like everybody to be READY TO GO in costumes, etc. right on the dot of 6:30. I will be there from about 5:30 so if you and your family want to bring a quick bento to eat there, the place will be open.

We will be doing a scavenger hunt for main party activity, so make sure your costume is easy to walk in and that you don't have to carry any extra things (Richie, make sure all your guns and grenades can be attached to you so you don't have your hands full!)

Please bring:

A costume to wear
A flashlight

We will go on our walkabout right from 6:30, so please be on time. After the walkabout, we'll have a couple of games and a treat back at the Kashi Jimusho before we say goodnight.

We think the party will finish at about 8:00 (or probably 8:30!) Remember that we WON'T have a class Saturday morning, so everybody can sleep in!

Let me know if you have any questions -- see you tomooooooooorrow!

Halloween plans and reading homework...

Hello, one and all!

Are you getting ready for Halloween? We have prepared a plan for this year's Halloween party, so please talk to your Mom and Dad about the schedule and let me know on Saturday if it works for you. This year we are planning a Friday night party (October 30 from maybe 6:30? Time is not decided...). This year we are going to try to meet at the usual place in Ropponmatsu instead of the Provenzano house. We'll get together there, put our costumes on, then head out into the darkness for another fun Halloween Walkabout! After finishing all the tasks on the Walkabout course, we'll go back to the Kashi Jimusho (I don't know how to spell that...) for a game or 2 if there's time.

About homework, let's do some reading in the BrainQuest book - pages 94 and 95. Please do the questions before you come to class and we can go over them together. As usual, I'd love to read a journal entry, too.

See you Saturday!

homework homework homework, yippee!!!

Hi, gang! It sounds like several people are going to be absent this week, so it might be difficult to continue with our cooking project this time (although if you have already prepared some soup recipes, I think we'd all love to look at them). I thought it would be nice to do some reading together, so why don't you bring a book from home that you really like, and we'll choose one or two to read together? And for a little extra homework, let's do pages 50 and 51 in the workbook (if you don't remember what nouns are, check the Brain Box!).

See you Saturday :-)
