Homework

We were pretty busy yesterday, weren't we?

In class, we did pages 16, 280 and 281. We also practiced new cursive letters: i, j, t, u, v, and w. Finally, I introduced our journal writing project.

For your homework, let's continue cursive writing practice in our old notebooks (2 lines each of the new letters).

Next, many kids didn't have a chance to write their persuasive paragraphs on page 126, so let's do our best to write that for next time (Ren, you get to take a break from that homework!)

Finally, I'd like you to try writing your first journal entry. Look at the guidelines I gave you for writing, and have fun putting your ideas on paper! If you want to draw a picture about your journal topic, too, I'd love to see it. You can draw it on the back side of the page you write your paragraph on.
