At the end of the class, Nozomi gave us all some really nice souvenirs from her trip in the winter holiday. I realized that we didn't really talk much about what we did in the holiday, so I'd like you to write a comment on this blog post explaining about your holiday. Talk about what you did and what was your favorite thing that you did. I'd like to read at least 5 sentences by each person!!

I'm Nozomi.
This winter, my mother and I went to Germany and Czech and met my German
friends.
With my friends,we went to a zoo in Germany.
We could see some animals much nearer than in Japanese zoo.
I like animals so I was very happy!
I also enjoyed seeing opera and ballet.
Ballet was very beautiful and I was moved.
But opera wasn't fun.
I saw "Aida", but I couldn't understand that story.
I'm very satisfied with this travel.
Nozomi - it's great to read about your holiday! How was the weather in Germany and the Czech Republic? Was it colder than Fukuoka?
This winter vacation, I went to Cranbrook (where my grandfather lives), Vancouver and Shang hai. I spent Christmas with my grandpa for the first time I can remember, which was really nice. It was also the very first white Christmas I can remember! I made my grandpa a lunch mat that says "DESSERT GOES HERE" on the front. I think he liked it, because he used it a lot after Christmas. I also went skiing/snowboarding in Cranbrook. I had tried skiing before, but I never had tried snowboarding so I took 2 lessons. Snowboarding was REALLY fun until I hit my hip really hard a couple of times. In Vancouver, I saw my grandma and her fiance. We had new years dinner together at a seafood restaurant. I was full before I finished the main course, but it was so good that I had to finish it all.... After dinner we had a dance party at the condo we were staying at. My stomach hurt, but I still danced pretty hard :-) I also had dinner with my uncle in Vancouver. It was ok...
In Shang hai, we just walked around places that looked interesting. The thing I remember most about Shang hai was all the people trying to sell us copied goods. (bags, watches, etc..)
I think I had the most fun spending Christmas with my grandpa, and playing in the DEEP deep snow. I hope we can go to Canada in the winter again!!!!

In my winter vacation I went to Canada. It was the first time for me to go to Canada in the winter so I was very excited. We went skiing and I played outside every day. When I played outside I made two igloos and Sophie and I made a really big snowman. I had a lot of fun so I hope I can go next year too.

This winter, my family and I did not do much.
However, we went sledding at a local mountain called
"Mt Sefuri". It did not have as much snow as Canada.
When we were sledding I went down from a very steep
hill and snow just blew at my face and it was very cold!!
It was really fun so i will want to try sledding at a bigger and steeper hill next year.
This winter vacation, we didn't go abroad or anywhere outside Fukuoka prefecture. We did our usual routine to the snowy mountains of Mount Sefuri, though.
We went sledding and hiking to the top of the mountain.
I also customized the hand grips and pedals for my bike.
I also had to go to tutoring class(juku) many times and I mostly studied algebra and Japanese for my high school examination.
That's all!
This winter, I went to hokkaido for skiing with my family.
When we were skiing me and my father had made a mistake and went to a dangerous course.
So my father and me were very scared. But we finally made it to the place where my mom was there.
My father and me thought we wil die. After we met my mom we saw the map and at last my father and me found out that we were not skiing in the course!!
I was very surprised because I had skied the dangerous place.
And that was my ski trip.
The End

I went to Osaka with my brother to see my grandparents.
I ate Osechi with my relatives.
I got a lot of Otoshidama.
And I went to the aquqrium in Kobe.
I fed penguins. It was cold but it was fun.
I was happy to see my relatives and I had a good time with them.
